March 2011-2010-2009-2008

March 2011 started good enough, but at the end had the worst weather ever seen in March: wet, cold (at least for the locals) and a strong wind coming from all directions. This weather would have been extremely bad for the wettest months of the year, let alone for March, a dry, sunny and calm month weatherwise. Compared to other parts in Southern Thailand we were very lucky though, with no flooding, the airport remained open and the ferries stopped for just two days.
On five days we were limited in dive destinations, e.g. no diving at Kata Beach or Richelieu Rock possible, and on two days there was no diving possible at the normal destinations.
