January 2011-2010-2009-2008

January 2011 continued where December 2010 left of: more rain than usual and more clouds than usual. This also made it colder than usual. We also experienced more days with a moderate or strong wind than we normally have.
This does not mean the weather was not nice, in fact some people like it when it is not as warm as it can be. So just like in December the weather was not bad, far from it, but it was not the excellent weather we normally see in January.

Diving at our housereef here in Kata was possible except for one day, because that day visibility was almost zero. Also Richelieu Rock, North of the Similans, could not be reached on a few days. The other divesites were available every day.
